GREEN SHIELD TRIALS UPDATE!

Our second lot of trials are happening this weekend and all success participants shall be receiving a follow up email with a change to location and time due to expected wet weather.

Another young gun in the NSW set up for the coming

Another young gun in the NSW set up for the coming season is Keyan Patel.

Keyan started the year as a highly touted young leg spinner developing his trade in 5th Grade. With an ability to get great spin and bounce, it wasn’t long for him to see 4th Grade cricket later in the season with a host of quality young leg spinners in the Club.

We expect bigger and better things from Keyan this next season!

150 games and counting… The return of the Sandh

150 games and counting…

The return of the Sandhu was an exciting one for the Club that was brought down by snapped strings a few balls in. Harmon locked it down with a return in the second half of the season and is an integral part of our set up for 22/23 and beyond.

With 290 wickets for the Club, with a best of 9/54 - we look forward to seeing the big man reach 300 this season!

Next off the ranks in the NSW U19 Representative s

Next off the ranks in the NSW U19 Representative squad is Yuva Nishchay.

Starting with the Lions in our Green Shield set up 4 seasons ago, Yuva has gone on to bigger and better things with both bat and ball.

While injured for the majority of the 21/22 season, Yuva still contributed in the amount of games he played in 2nd Grade - earning himself a 1st Grade cap half way through the season that was presented by junior coach - Joe Badalato.

A Lions junior, Yuva deserves a lot of credit for coming back strong and finishing the year and we look forward to see him progress through the ranks.

We dive more into our New South Wales representati

We dive more into our New South Wales representatives with Cameron Frendo.

@cameronfrendo_ is a shining light amongst the grades. The tiny terror from Greystanes with a family of gold, Frendo has been the epitome of hard work and dedication to his craft over the last year.

Struck down with injury in 20/21, Cam started the years with selection in Third Grade but didn’t let that hold him back with quality performances earning him a First Grade cap before turning 17.

There is plenty of praises surrounding Cam’s character and it’s no surprise to many that he has been selected for higher honours.

We wish him well for the upcoming months as he tries to cement his spot in the NSW set up.

19 wickets at 28 with a best of 5/40 against Parra

19 wickets at 28 with a best of 5/40 against Parramatta - @shinwari.49 is our Anthony Clark medal winner for 2021/22.

Shin came into the squad late into the preseason and was a more than steady hand in our top grade system. With the likes of Hatch and Harmon out with injury, was great to see the Shin slot into a new ball partnership with Barbs and provide much needed support for our youthful squad.

We look forward to what the 22/23 season holds.
